R.P.I. is in Troy, New York across the Hudson River from Albany, the state capitol. The Indiana reference in the title is misleading.

My son was accepted at RPI, with few questions asked. He arrived, was registered, given meal vouchers, a dorm room, and a computer. Tuition/fees, and room/board were waived! Rensselaer took him in and made him feel at home. An excellent school for engineering majors!
